How to Drive Website Traffic To Your Website

If you own a website or have some information to give-away, driving website traffic to your site can be a challenge at times. Many people new to this process feel overwhelmed, and even know it, yet never seek any assistance. In this article, I'm going to talk about a few quick and easy ways to increase website traffic.

These are just some of the things you can do:

Article Marketing- Article marketing is simply having an article on the Internet and distributing to as many places as you can. EzineArticles.com, GoArticles.com, and Article breeders are just a few places you can post your articles. At the end of your articles, you want to recommend the reader visit your website. Some other websites include Isnare.com and Isnare because depending on your methodology, you can also post to other social media sites such as Facebook, Digg, and Twitter.

Blogging and/or Posting Comments- If you have a connection to your industry, a friends with customers, etc. You may want to open up a free Wordpress blog and start writing and sharing stuff with others. While I won't go into search engine optimization in this article, you can certainly submit your site to a blog search engine, and/or visit your competitors websites and compare posts to create content ideas.

Forums And Online Communities- While some people claim forums and online communities are impersonal, it all depends on the value and con tug on the person besides you. Forums and online communities, can be intimate. Everyone in the room has some input. You can act as a mentor; you can let people know about your product or service, and you can let them know about it.

Of course, you have to make sure the content is valuable. Not every person has the potential to help your website; just like everyone in your neighborhood. It's not your responsibility to know them, just their experience.

Commenting- Again, is up to you. If you are merely posting comments on another site, be sure they are constructive, unique, and thought provoking. You want to exercise your authority and already "know" the site owner. This is an opportunity to presell and you need to take full advantage with your name.

Blog Commenting- Blog comments are a little different. When someone leaves a comment on a blog, it isn't re-tagged from a new site. As of now, it is re-tagged from the blog post. So if you see a comment that you like he/she commented, click the link, usually right in the comment box, and re-tag the name. in the line address box. You can do the same thing for things you're promoting as well. They are on a completely different site, and you are not really trying to observe their review.

Social Media- Can you use Facebook, Twitter, Digg, Myspace, and others? You probably think of Facebook as people posting status, and of Twitter as micro-blogging. Digg and Myspace are like the big boys. Facebook is a gathering; Twitter is a socializing program. Which one do you use a lot? - I think you have an idea.

You can also use Facebook, Myspace, and Twitter to assess how to improve your business and have fun with this. Be sure to utilize all the major social websites to your benefit. I don't say F-R-E-E.

Creating Your Affiliate Program- An affiliate program is when you pay others to drive traffic to your site. You can do it for free, in some cases, but I've seen a lot of software, that allow you to sign up thousands of people to your own affiliate program. These affiliates h jut for free, but can make your business huge. You can also host an affiliate program run of your own website and allow others to sign up for free.

Four of the major affiliate networks they offer are Amazon, Clickbank, King of the affiliates (optimizeexamplesite), and Commission Junction. Some require you to have a buying list, teleseminar, or training course, some allow you to set up and start seeing results immediately, and some ask you to be a CEO of the program. There are numerous websites you can look into. I will list a few to give you the basics.

Expscribr - it crawls other popular websites. Look at those that are already in the top 10 in Google. That is your base.

BecomeaCafe - Makes it easy to search for web hosts.

Inset- scans web hosting providers for you

The other thing you want to look for is who is marketing the product or service.
